I finally did it, I bought myself a Kindle Touch. I have been reviewing all the Kindles for a long time and finally made the plunge and ordered one. I will be getting it tomorrow and I am very excited.
I usually don't read very much, mostly when I am going to bed and need some down time. But, a friend turned me onto this and the fact that you can get FREE books and inexpensive books...including cookbooks!
Dear friend Sheryl shared her pattern for a quilted Kindle cover...so I plan on making one when I get home from work today...so it will be ready when my new TOY arrives tomorrow. So...do you have a Kindle??? If so, what do you think of it and do you have any tips or tricks???

They have plenty of free books on Amazon.com! :) I can forward you the emails i get when i am notified of free Kindle books. I am sure you will love it. We just download the books to our PC or Android phones and read books using the Kindle viewers. :)

I just got a Kindle too and I absolutely LOVE it! I have wanted one for a long time. I have spent way more time reading than sewing lately though, so beware. : )
Oh Debi, I just got my Kindle Touch on Wed. I have already read one book and have 4 more on it. I have spent a total of $3 on books.(grin) I love, love, love my new Kindle Touch. It is my Christmas present from Kevin, but he was nice and said I could have it now. You are going to love it. I have found many books at Amazon for absolutely nothing. I figure I don't have much to lose when I order those. LOL It is so amazing to me to click on the buy it now thingy and have the book in less than 60 seconds. I am just very excited about this. And to think I always said I would never like a Kindle. I was so wrong and dh was so right. LOL Have fun.
I think you will really enjoy your Kindle. Since I just have a basic phone, DH got me the Kindle Fire for my birthday, and I can access the web on Wifi in a lot of places. I'll bet we are downloading some of the same free books.
